Through the week of May 1, 2005 the USEF will be sending weekly e-mails to competition management contacts containing Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and updates regarding the new competition licensing procedure. The information contained in these e-mails will also be available in the USEF Week In Review. After May 1, 2005, the updates will continue in the Week In Review only. If you would like to sign up for the Week In Review, go to www.usef.org and click on the “Sign Up Now” banner on the righthand side of the homepage to sign up. The updates will also be archived on the USEF website under the Competition Licensing News banner also on the righthand side of the homepage.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the USEF Competitions Department at (859) 258-2472 or e-mail [email protected].

Q: Am I required to apply for three years of dates as listed on the application form?
A:
No. You can apply for only one or two years, but the year(s) must include a date in the 2006 competition year. As previously noted, USEF will accept applications for licenses with dates beginning in the 2007 competition year beginning on March 1, 2006. Competitions operating under a permission waiver will be licensed for one year only.

Q: Am I required to pay the competition fees for each year for which I am applying?
A:
No. Fees for the first year are due with the application. Payments submitted for multiple years will be refunded for any years beyond 2006. Fees are due annually in April for each subsequent competition under a license agreement (e.g., 2007 competition year fees are due in April 2006). Please note that the amount may change over the period of the license agreement.~~~
