Elisabeth Goth has dedicated the greater part of her life to the pursuit of excellence in the horse show ring and to the various entities and aspects that surround the horse community. A fourth-generation horsewomen, Goth competes as an amateur and has won at the highest level of her sport, including two World’s Grand Championship titles. Her current passion is owning and operating Elisabeth Goth LLC, a highly regarded American Saddlebred sales and breeding operation in Kentucky and for a time she was the largest breeder of American Saddlebred horses in the country.   

A former USEF board member and board vice president, Goth has also served on countless USEF committees. She is a Life Member of the USEF, AMHA, ASHA, and the AHHS. She served on the board of the American Saddlebred Horse Association, the American Saddlebred Registry, and several horse shows including the co-chairing the National Horse Show. Goth was a trustee for the American Saddlebred Museum, and the History and Children’s Wings are named in her honor. She is a member of the President’s Circle at William Woods University and is a member of the Fellows Society at the University of Kentucky. She currently serves on the Gluck Equine Research Foundation Board. Goth has been honored with several industry awards, including the USEF Equestrian of the Year, the UPHA Sallie B. Wheeler Award, the UPHA Associate Award, the ASHA Lurline Roth Award, the ASHA Breeder’s Award, and the AHHS Preservationist Award.  In 2025 she was inducted into the American Saddlebred Horse and Breeder’s Association’s Breeders Hall of Fame.
