Deborah L. Johnson, MA, is the owner and president of Reno-Tahoe Equestrian Centre, Inc., where she has spent more than three decades cultivating horse enthusiasts, coaching riders, mentoring instructors and trainers, and supporting the long-term welfare of horses and the equine industry. A United States Equestrian Federation registered judge since 1993 and an Arabian Horse Association national accredited judge, she has adjudicated more than 300 international, national, and regional competitions.
Deborah currently serves on the USEF Legislative Committee and Arabian Division Committee as chair, and theVeterinary Committee and the National Breeds & Disciplines Engagement Task Force. She also served on the USEF Board of Directors, Governance Committee, Executive Committee and various Olympic and U.S. Team selection ad hoc committees.
A past president and current immediate past president of the Arabian Horse Association, Deborah brings extensive governance, competition, breed, youth, and strategic planning experience to her committee service. She holds a Master of Arts in Speech Communication and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno.
